With over two decades of experience, Kelly Gunning has built a career as a versatile production designer and visual storyteller. His work spans collaborations with acclaimed directors and major brands including McDonald’s, Amazon, Apple, Toyota, and Martha Stewart, reflecting both range and expertise.

From Rural North Dakota to Minneapolis to Los Angeles in 1999, Kelly’s journey reflects a lifelong pursuit of storytelling through design. From his early days as a PA through roles in the art department to camera dept. to editing, directing and producing, he has gained a 360° view of filmmaking that now informs his design work.

Today, Kelly brings stories to life through cinematic production design, concept art, and advanced visuals. He thrives on collaboration with talented colleagues and continues to embrace the role he’s always aspired to: crafting the visual worlds that shape unforgettable stories.
